Kellie began her Pilates training in 2001 while exploring various ways to align and strengthen her body to support her capabilities as a contemporary dancer.
She finds Pilates to be an important base of knowledge and integrative movement method that offers non-movers and movers alike an opportunity to work from the inside out. Kellie's teaching approach has been highly influenced by her dance experience, Alexander Technique and Yoga. Kellie is a STOTT PILATES® certified instructor and has been teaching Pilates since 2008; she continues her Pilates education annually through various workshops offered around the Northeast. She holds B.A. in dance performance from Rhode Island College and an M.F.A. in dance performance and choreography from Smith College. Kellie is a co-founder and Artistic Director of Elm City Dance Collective in New Haven. www.elmcitydance.org. When she isn't teaching Pilates, she can be found touring nationally or teaching at Connecticut College.
What Our Clients Are Saying
“You have a beautiful studio–gorgeous–with more Pilates equipment than I even knew existed. Everyone I met there was warm, friendly, helpful, and encouraging.”
“The comparison between my experience at Aldrich Pilates and what was called Pilates at my health club and at physical therapy is rather like the comparison between an Italian dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Florence versus pizza from a pizza delivery chain. Both are Italian but they are very different.”
