A lifelong dancer, Liz began practicing classical Pilates in 2008 as a means of supplementing her dance training at American University. In 2011, Liz completed a Classical Pilates Mat Teacher Training at Quantum Pilates in DC. Since then, she has taught classes in both the Classical and Contemporary styles in South Africa, in various studios in Washington, DC, and most recently at My Thrive Pilates in Arlington, Virginia. Liz danced professionally for several companies in the DC area, including Word Dance Theater, ACW Dances, and Jane Franklin Dance, and has enhanced her physical training through yoga and running. She ran her first marathon in 2014 and is currently training for another in the next year. Liz is passionate about sharing her love of all forms of movement with her clients and seeks to improve the lives of friends, family, and clientele through building mind-body awareness, a deeper kinesthetic sense, and movement confidence.
What Our Clients Are Saying
“You have a beautiful studio–gorgeous–with more Pilates equipment than I even knew existed. Everyone I met there was warm, friendly, helpful, and encouraging.”
“The comparison between my experience at Aldrich Pilates and what was called Pilates at my health club and at physical therapy is rather like the comparison between an Italian dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Florence versus pizza from a pizza delivery chain. Both are Italian but they are very different.”
