Join Brooke Thomas for a body and sensation based meditation workshop. By combining self-myofascial release using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls with embodied meditation from The Realization Process you'll discover how to drop deeply into your body.
This workshop will allow for the deep nourishment that comes with taking a respite from the busy monkey mind. On a deeper level, it can help you to fine tune and navigate your regular off-the-cushion-life from your most genuine internal compass: the sensations of your body.
The body is the most direct gateway to self-connection. As we learn to inhabit our bodies and to experience our subtle energy we feel a revitalization. We learn compassion, acceptance and resiliency from the inside out. From here the stagnation begins to break up, letting more flow come into your life.

In this class we will focus on connecting to voice, body and imagination to create work that is personal, active and alive in each moment. Each student will have the opportunity to work on two contemporary scenes or one scene and one monologue during our 5 weeks together. You will complete the course with tools to use going forward with acting or public speaking.
Whether you are new to scripted acting or have been working on your craft for years, this course will be challenging and fun. A small class size ensures individual attention and enables every student to work in each class.
Mariah Sage, AEA actor and founder of Present & Perform, teaches this course. She earned her BFA in drama at NYU/Tisch and her MFA in acting at Brown University/Trinity Rep where she was a Stephen Sondheim Fellow.
